Currently playing in the Yorkshire Division 2, we at Goole R.F.C. are proud of our status as one of the few totally 'home grown' amateur Rugby Union clubs in the English leagues of today. Our home, Westfield Banks, that we share with the Goole Tennis Club has two full sized rugby pitches, a Junior and Minis training/match pitch and ample areas to train. The clubhouse itself, whilst not the largest retains a family atmosphere and is available to hire for that special occasion.
We are able to regularly field two senior teams and are confident in extending to three sides in the not too distant future. Add to this a thriving Juniors and Minis section which can turn out teams in most age groups from Under 7 to Under 16. We also propose to have dedicated female teams in place as soon as possible. Add to all this a promising Colts squad from which we can bolster the senior sides in season's to come, Goole Rugby club is proving its worth to the Community of Goole and the surrounding areas.
Only by constantly advertising our 'trade' locally via Primary and Secondary schools and working closely with the East Yorkshire RDO team in the provision of training opportunities for all ages, are we able to maintain a steady throughput of quality players to higher levels of the game ensuring the Club's future, as well as providing the community with the opportunity to take part in sporting activities in a safe and friendly atmosphere.
